About me
I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Cognitive Systems Group (CoSy), Universität Bremen and principal investigator of the 'SFB/TR 8 Spatial Cognition' project R3-[Q-Shape] "Reasoning about Paths, Shapes & Configurations". My vision is to enable non-experts to formalize and analyze behavior of agents or robots in space and time (e.g. vessels or cars) in more intuitive and natural ways.
Interests
The core of my research deals with qualitative spatial and temporal reasoning (QSTR), spatial change, cognitive robotics, reasoning about action and change (RAC), cognitive systems, and applied ontologies. I am investigating how methods in these areas can be exploited, combined, and applied in areas like vessel & car control, Ambient Intelligence, and Geographic Information Systems.
Research Projects

* Capacity Lab (poverty reduction in development countries by ICT)
