About me

I come from the United States, where I received a B.S. in Computer Science from Arizona State University, a M.S.E. in Human Factors Engineering from Wright State University, and a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Engineering from Iowa State University. During my Ph.D. studies, I worked in the world's highest-resolution immersive virtual reality system, the C6 CAVE in the Virtual Reality Applications Center. My interests involve assessing and mitigating the limitations of such systems, from the perspective of human cognition. Though I have no degree in psychology, my research has had a substantial psychology component and I generally work at the intersection of computer science and cognitive psychology.
